Frequently Asked Questions
General Dentistry & Smile Enhancement
- What dental services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive care including cleanings, fillings, crowns, implants, cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, and airway-focused treatment for both children and adults.
- What is a smile makeover?
A smile makeover combines cosmetic treatments—such as veneers, whitening, bonding, reshaping, and alignment—to enhance the look and harmony of your smile.
- Do you offer dental implants?
Yes. We place and restore dental implants for single missing teeth, multiple teeth, and full-mouth reconstruction.
- Am I a candidate for implants?
Most healthy adults qualify. We assess bone levels, gum health, and your overall goals during an in-office evaluation.
Airway, Snoring & Sleep Apnea (Adults)
- Do you treat adult snoring and sleep apnea?
Yes. We offer custom oral sleep appliances designed to open the airway and reduce snoring or mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea.
- How do oral sleep appliances work?
These devices gently reposition the lower jaw forward to improve airflow during sleep, often reducing or eliminating snoring and apnea events. They may also include expansion depending on treatment goals.
- How do I know if my snoring is a concern?
Habitual loud snoring, gasping, choking, morning headaches, fatigue, or difficulty concentrating can all indicate possible sleep apnea. We also offer home sleep tests to differentiate between snoring and apneas.
Snoring Treatments (Non-OSA or Mild Snoring)
- Do you offer treatments specifically for snoring?
Yes. Beyond oral sleep appliances, we offer several treatment options depending on the cause of snoring, including nasal optimization, soft-tissue tightening with the Solea CO₂ laser, and bite-based guided airway therapy.
- How does Solea help with snoring?
The Solea CO₂ laser can gently tighten and tone the soft palate and surrounding tissues, reducing vibration that contributes to snoring. Treatment is quick, comfortable, and non-invasive.
Solea CO₂ Laser Dentistry
- What is the Solea CO₂ laser?
The Solea CO₂ laser is an advanced dental laser that allows many procedures—fillings, soft-tissue treatments, and snoring therapy—to be performed with little to no anesthesia, vibration, or postoperative discomfort.
- What procedures can be performed with the Solea laser?
We use Solea for cavity preparations, gum contouring, tongue-tie releases, soft-tissue therapy, snoring reduction, and to improve patient comfort during routine dental visits.
- Is Solea safe for children?
Yes. Solea is extremely gentle and well-tolerated by kids, making it ideal for fillings, soft-tissue treatments, and tongue-tie releases with minimal discomfort.
Guided Growth & Pediatric Airway Treatment
- What is guided growth therapy?
Guided growth therapy supports healthy jaw development, expands the airway, and helps create space for permanent teeth by improving muscle balance and facial growth patterns.
- What do Guide & Growth appliances do?
They encourage proper nasal breathing, support tongue and lip posture, and promote natural jaw development—not traditional orthodontic tooth movement.
- How many hours a day does my child need to wear the appliance?
Nighttime wear plus one to two hours of daily Active Wear, where your child gently bites (not chews) on the appliance while keeping the lips closed.
- How long does guided growth treatment take?
Most children are in treatment for 18–36 months, depending on age, symptoms, and growth response.
Myofunctional Therapy & Tongue-Tie
- Does my child need myofunctional therapy?
Many children benefit—especially those who mouth-breathe, have speech challenges, or struggle with tongue posture and lip closure.
- How do I know if I need a tongue-tie release?
A release may be recommended if a restriction affects speech, swallowing, tongue posture, or limits treatment progress. We evaluate this during in-office exams.
Appointments, Follow-Ups & Appliance Progression
- How do new patient appointments work?
All evaluations are completed in office, where we assess your child’s airway, growth, posture, and bite and discuss your goals.
- How often are follow-up visits?
Typically every 90–120 days depending on your child’s stage of treatment.
How do we move to the next Guide & Growth appliance size or stage?
We determine readiness during in-office follow-ups based on growth, symptoms, and tooth eruption.
